Zachary Daniel Alan Henson, son of Steven Palumbo and Teresa Henson, was born October 4, 1996 in Joplin, Missouri, and departed this life September 2, 2017, at Cox Health in Springfield, Missouri. He was 20 years, 10 months, and 29 days of age.
Zachary grew up in Ohio. His family moved to Mountain Grove in 2010. Zachary graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 2015. During high school, Zachary enjoyed spending time with friends and enjoyed helping everyone he could. He became a certified welder and worked as a welder after high school. He also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Mountain Grove Fire Department. Zachary greatly enjoyed working out and spending time at Team Respect Fitness. He participated in Jiu Jitsu classes several times a week, had won several medals in Jiu Jitsu, and was preparing for his first cage fight.
Zachary enjoyed life and got everything out of life that he could. He always had a positive attitude, making those around him smile. He was a true gentleman, especially to his sisters and his mother. He loved them very much and always treated them special and with great respect.
Zachary was preceded in death by his Grandma Tina, Great-Grandpa Lee McDougal, Great-Grandma Dorcas, and Uncle Danny.
He is survived by his parents, Steven Palumbo and Teresa Henson, four sisters, Lectah Lee Palumbo, Faith Lynn Palumbo, Gracie Mae Palumbo, and Aubrey Palumbo, paternal grandparents, Harold and Karen Coleman, maternal grandfather, Lee Henson, Great-Grandmother, Eileen McDougal, several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who will truly miss him.
Directions to cemetery: From Mtn. Grove, take Hwy 95 south 12 miles. Turn left on Hwy 76. Go approx. 9 miles to E Hwy on the right. Take E Hwy approx. 4 miles to the end of the pavement. Cemetery is on the left.
