Ytoka M. Kemper

February 14, 1939 — November 11, 2015

Ytoka Marie (Todd) Kemper, the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Martha Emma Almeda (Perkins) Todd, was born on February 14, 1939, in Manes, Missouri, and departed this life on November 11, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was 76 years, 8 months, and 28 days of age.
Ytoka was the beloved wife of Glenn Kemper, mother of Ken, Todd, and Larissa, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Her large extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews.
Ytoka was a gardener, ceramics artist, an industrious seamstress, and quilter. She used that gifting to dress premature babies in Christening gowns and burial shrouds for Mansfield Hospital Auxiliary. She made numerous baby blankets for charity and supported a local womens assistance organization.
Our mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend will be sorely missed by her family and community.
Besides her parents, Ytoka was preceded in death by two brothers: Lowell Todd and Noel Todd and her sister: Wilma Casey.
Ytoka is survived by her loving husband of more than 59 years, Glenn Kemper, of the home, two sons: Kenneth Kemper and his wife, Deborah, of Lexington, Missouri, Todd Kemper and his wife, Teresa, of Conway, Arkansas and her daughter: Larissa Mullen and her husband, Phillip, of Independence, Missouri, a sister-in-law: Terecca Todd of Neosho, Missouri, four grandchildren: Kristan Frances and her husband, Grant, Lucas Kemper, Jeremy Mullen, and Jessica Mullen, three great-grandchildren: Alathia Kemper, Nicolas Madrigal and Abigail Madrigal and a host of other family and friends are left behind.


Visitation: Friday, November 13, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel

Funeral Service: Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church of Mountain Grove

Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery, Mountain Grove, Missouri

Memorial Contributions: First Christian Church Youth Group
