Wilma Jane Hegle, daughter of the late Charles Noel and Trilby Vivian (Estes) Alsup, was born May 15, 1933 in Ava, Missouri and departed this life August 29, 2019 in Springfield, Missouri. She was 86 years of age.
After graduating from Mountain Grove High School in 1951, Jane attended Missouri State University and then she worked at the Pentagon as the secretary to the Provost Marshal of the United States Army.
Jane was united in marriage to William “Bill” Hegle in 1959 in Washington, D.C. Three children were born to this union. They raised their family in Alexandria, Virginia until 1974, when they moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri. Jane spent most of the rest of her life in Mountain Grove.
Jane enjoyed playing her piano, making colorful quilts, genealogical research, writing articles, and attending family reunions. She was an excellent cook, wife, and dedicated mother who took great pride in her children and family tree.
Besides her parents, Charles Noel Alsup and Trilby Vivian Estes, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 2009, two sisters, Annabelle Boswell and Grace Huff, and brother, Charles Alsup.
She is survived by her three children, Linda Susan Hegle, Kris Ann Hegle and husband, Bob, and John Hegle and wife, Staci, all of Springfield, Missouri, one brother, Tom Alsup and wife, Vivian, of Cabool, Missouri, numerous nephews and nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.
