Willard "Bill" Dean Brackett, son of the late Virgil Alonzo and Lucy Belle (Reece) Brackett, was born on May 11, 1930 in Fannin County, Texas and departed this life on October 13, 2014 at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 84 years, 5 months, and 2 days of age.
Bill was united in marriage to Faye Hallman on January 10, 1951 in Bonham, Texas. They had 63 wonderful years together. To this union two daughters were born: Sheron and Rae Lynne. In 1967, Bill and Faye moved from Millsap, Texas to Missouri to fulfill his dream of having his own farm, which was known as Rattlesnake Holler.
Bill was a veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed hamburgers, shootem up westerns, country music, hunting fishing, and his cowboy boots, but most of all he loved his family. Bill was a loving daddy and a faithful husband. His favorite song was A Beautiful Life, and a beautiful life he lived. Bill was a member of the Cabool Church of Christ.
Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Dee and Frank; one sister: Ruby Belle McElreath.
Bill leaves in his passing his lovely wife: Faye (Hallman) Brackett; his two daughters: Sheron Allen and husband, Norman, of Norwood, Missouri, and Rae Lynne Swopes and husband, Dennis, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two brothers: V.A. Jr., and David Ruben; one sister: Reba Alice Bond; five grandchildren: Brian Allen and fianc, Brandi Rust, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Angela Allen Keehner and husband, Robert, of Norwood, Missouri, Willie Dean Allen and wife, Heather, of Republic, Missouri, Sara Stewart and husband, Matt, of Springfield, Missouri, and Rhiana Faye Seiler and husband, Randy, of Springfield, Missouri; twelve great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
