Wayne Clyde Cutbirth, son of Willie Cutbirth and Stella (Fakas) Cutbirth, was born on March 19, 1946, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life on March 2, 2024, at the age of 77 years.
Wayne grew up in Hartville, Missouri, and attended Hartville School. Wayne professed his faith in Jesus Christ and when possible, attended Coon Creek Free Will Baptist Church. He loved reading his Bible and sharing the gospel with others.
As an adult, he worked with his father in the lawn care business. He lived with his parents and became their caretaker as they grew older. After his parents passed, he moved to the Hartville Care Center. He considered the Care Center to be his home and appreciated the kindness and compassion that was shown to him over the years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed reading and collecting books. Wayne liked researching natural home remedies and was always ready to share what he learned. He also enjoyed collecting antiques. He loved history, especially local history, and stories of the Old West. One of the highlights of his adult life was being able to take a train ride to the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Marie Matney, and her husband Denzl Matney, as well as one brother, Donald Cutbirth.
Wayne is survived by his sister Wilma McDaris (Russell) of Hartville, Missouri, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
