Warren Adelbert Mack, son of the late Willis “Warren” and Kamilla (Thiel) Mack, was born on February 8, 1922 in Hayes, Kansas and passed away on April 21, 2008 in the Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Merriam, Kansas following a long illness. He was 86 years, 2 months, and 13 days of age.
Warren grew up in Kansas City Kansas and graduated from Argentine High School. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was discharged in the late 1940’s.
He was united in marriage to Helen Alice Maxey on February 24, 1952. They made their home in the Kansas City area all their lives. Helen passed away on March 7, 2002. Warren was employed in the lumber and hardware business for many years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed watching television, playing solitaire, working word puzzles and going on drives.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his step-mother: Charolette Mack.
He is survived by two brothers: Bill Mack of Kansas City, Kansas and Schuyler E. Mack of Overland Park, Kansas; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Graveside services for Warren Mack were held April 25, 2008 in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Turner officiating. Full military honors were provided by the American Legion Post 30 and The Lima Burial Detail Team with Jared Moore serving as bugler. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
