Wanda Shannon

Wanda Rosalie Shannon, daughter of Curtis and Betty Wise was born July 21, 1966, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and departed this life at her home in Fordland, Missouri, March 4, 2020. She was 53 years, 7 months, and 14 days of age.

Wanda’s entire life was devoted to her family, always putting them first. She loved being with her kids and grandkids, and enjoyed shopping for them and spoiling them as much as she could. She was very devoted to Bob and enjoyed doing things for him and spending time together. They loved enjoying nature together and had recently spent time sitting on the river, soaking up the beauty around them. Wanda loved people and could easily make new friends with those she met.

Wanda was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Wise, one sister, Lisa Blitch Nichols, her mother, Betty Wise, and a sister-in-law, Vicki Shannon Myers.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Shannon, five sons, Charles Dortch of Republic, Missouri, Kyle Roberts and his wife, Melissa, of Springfield, Missouri, Jeremiah Roberts of Olympia, Washington, Destyn Embrey of Springfield, Missouri, and Noah Embrey of Nixa, Missouri, one step-son, Matt Shannon and his wife, Amy, of Freeman, Missouri, her father, Curtis Wise of San Antonio, Texas, one sister, Aime Dean and her husband, Charles, of Thomson, Georgia, four grandchildren, Tice Dortch, Hadley Roberts, Maverick Roberts, and Kalvin Shannon, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Calvin and Phyllis Shannon, a brother-in-law, Richard Shannon and his wife, DeAnn, and other relatives and friends who will greatly miss her.
