Wanda Lee Lathrom, daughter of the late Virgil Hubert and Amie (Moore) Lansdown, was born September 26, 1940, in Hartville, Missouri, and went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 13, 2018, surrounded by her family at the age of 77.
Wanda was saved and baptized at an early age.
She graduated from Hartville High School in 1958 and married Earl Dean Lathrom on May 29, 1958. Two daughters were born to this union.
Wanda dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed taking care of everyone. She also dearly loved her brothers and sisters-in-law. Granny’s house was her grandkid’s favorite place to be. She always had something good cooked for anyone who walked through the door. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Her favorite pastime was hunting and fishing. Anyone who knew her knew she could out hunt most men. She also enjoyed cutting hair for her friends and family most of her life. She worked at Brown Shoe Company in Mountain Grove for several years and also worked at Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, Missouri, as a CNA, until retirement.
Besides her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Lansdown.
She is survived by her loving husband of their home, Dean Lathrom, two daughters, Regina Souder (Stephen) of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Tammy Rose (David) of Grovespring, Missouri, three brothers, Clifford Lansdown (Sue), Howard Lansdown (Betty), and Delvin Lansdown, all of Hartville, Missouri, six grandchildren, Nathan, Shilah, Brooke, Brian, Mellisa, and Scarlett, fourteen great-grandchildren, Steele, Gracelynn, Jillian, Gus, Chandler, Cameron, Jake, Alexis, Jace, Isam, Bodee, Anayla, Jacob, and Amanda, and a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends who loved her.
