Wade Leroy Spencer, son of Leroy and Deloris (Lawler) Spencer, was born November 20, 1961 in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life November 2, 2019, in Pensacola, Florida. He was 57 years, 11 months, and 13 days of age.
Wade had the biggest heart of anyone we knew. He thought the world of his friends and family. He would help anyone who asked, and made friends easily with his laid back personality, wit, sense of humor and his direct way of speaking, starting many a story with an "Oh, my gosh." He was a great listener, and you knew when he responded he had really heard what you were saying. He had a great love of nature and animals. He had an amazing memory, talking easily about things that occurred many years ago like it was yesterday, and despite his health challenges, it remained until his last day. If he felt something was wrong, he would speak up. If he felt something deserved praise, he would also offer it up. He saw beauty in many small things, which made him happy, and it made you happy as well. He had a willingness to share and give all of the time, and saw humor in everything. His eyes would sparkle and you would know he was smiling, even if his mouth didn't give it away. The world is a little colder place without him, and we will miss him until we meet again, and trust he is enjoying himself with Dad, our grandparents, and Frank Hughes, among many others! Oh my gosh, I bet there are some stories being told!
Wade was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Spencer.
