Violet Rose (Clark) Jones, daughter of the late Logan and Ova (Holman) Clark, was born August 5, 1928, in St. George, Missouri, and departed this life April 18, 2022, in Hartville, Missouri. She was 93 years, 8 months, and 13 days of age.
Violet grew up in the Smittle, Missouri area. She attended Mt. Olive School and then attended Grovespring High School. She was united in marriage to Jesse Jones, Jr. on July 16, 1944. Five children were born to this union: Charles, Steven, Bruce, Daniel, and Lisa Marie. They made their home on a dairy farm near Grovespring, Missouri, and later moved to Lebanon, Missouri, for a few years. In 1959, they moved their family to Kansas City, and she made her home there until her passing.
Violet was saved at Elk Creek Baptist Church at a young age, and she was currently a member of Victory Hills Baptist Church. She always made it a priority to take her family to church. Violet loved music. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing the guitar, and singing with her sisters. She always loved flowers, and she enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, and going to garage sales. Violet loved her family and cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Jones, one son, Steven Jones, one sister, Hazel King, and one brother, Billy Clark.
Violet is survived by three sons, Charles Jones and his wife, Connie, of Hartville, Missouri, Bruce Jones and his wife, Linda, of Riverside, Missouri, and Daniel Jones and his wife, Debra, of Hartville, Missouri, one daughter, Lisa Haworth and her husband, Kelly, of Niangua, Missouri, one brother, Logan Clark, Jr., two sisters, Margie Kilfoy and Peggy Jones and her husband, Glen, ten grandchildren, Dustin Jones and his wife, Jennifer, Danielle Boggs and her husband, Robbie, Dalton Jones, Natalie Jones and her husband, Jason, Erik Jones and his wife, Kristen, Katie Hutton and her husband, Martin, Jesse Jones, Jeremy Jones and his wife, Jodi, Jeffrey Jones, and Jaclyn Garland, twelve great-grandchildren, Eli, Rosalie, Lucy, Daphne, Delilah, Juliet, Mack, Sheri, Ben, Kylie, Quinn, and Wyatt, and many other extended family and friends who will miss her.
