Versal Louise Rogers, daughter of the late Simuel S. and Mary C. (Loomis) Bittick, was born February 6, 1937, in Topaz, Missouri, and departed this life September 15, 2017 at Mercy in Springfield, Missouri. She was 80 years, 7 months, and 10 days of age.
Versal went to school through the eighth grade at Mount Ararat and graduated from Cabool High School in 1955. She married Charles A. Rogers on January 9, 1957. They celebrated 60 years of marriage this year. Versal and Charles spent their life working together on their Little Creek dairy farm. She enjoyed being a housewife, mother, and grandmother. She also loved to work in her flower gardens, making her famous pies, milking cows, and walking the creek looking for rocks. She and Charles enjoyed going out on their farm and checking the cattle on the Gator. She had a special cat she enjoyed spending time with and feeding named Pretty Kitty.
Versal was saved at Pleasant Home church where she was a member.
Besides her parents, Versal was preceded in death by four brothers, Audie Bittick, Wayne Bittick, Alvin “Short” Bittick, and Merle Bittick, and by three sisters, Doris Bittick, Dorothy Bittick, and Verla Sloan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles, of their home, one son, Charles “Eddie” Rogers of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one daughter, Shari Brame of Mansfield, Missouri, one sister-in-law, Betty Bittick, nephews, Scott and Gary Bittick and Don Eddie Wheat, nieces, Ronda Snider, Pat Rees, Cindy Gridley, her former daughter-in-law, Tamala Pliler, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends who will greatly miss her.
