Verna Dee Larson

December 23, 1958 — April 14, 2011

Verna Dee Larson, daughter of Vernon and June (LeFord) Raber, was born on December 23, 1958 in Seattle, Washington, and departed this life on April 14, 2011 at her residence near Mtn. Grove, Missouri. She was 52 years of age.

Verna grew up and attended school in Washington and graduated from John R. Rogers High School in Puyallup, Washington in 1977.

She had made her home in Missouri for the past several years.

Verna enjoyed going to antique shops and collecting antiques. She enjoyed quilting, and was known for her beautiful needlework and cross stitching.

She was a loving and caring daughter, mother and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her father and mother: Vernon and June Raber of Mtn. Grove; her son: Pfc. Edward Larson, stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; her daughter: Amanda Larson of Mtn. Grove; one brother: Daniel Raber of Tok, Alaska; three sisters: Tina Jarrett and her husband, Rex, of Rolla, Missouri, Brenda Cahoose of Maltabend, Missouri, and Teresa Edwards of Rolla, Missouri; her special aunt: Carolyn of Waggoner, Missouri.
Verna’s favorite color was red. Her daughter, Amanda, requested that all who attend the memorial service on Sunday wear red, rather than the traditional black.
