Velma Maxine Bennett

Velma Maxine Bennett, daughter of the late Roy and Golda “Lorene” (Raney) Bennett, was born February 14, 1944, in rural Norwood, Missouri, and departed this life November 21, 2018, at her home in Macomb, Missouri. She was 74 years, 9 months, and 7 days of age.

Maxine grew up in Macomb, Missouri. She was a quiet and independent person. Maxine’s mother told her to take care of her little sister and she took that job very seriously. She also enjoyed watching the news and weather on television and enjoyed getting new clothes.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lorene Bennett, and her sister, Paula Bennett earlier this year.

She is survived by her brother, Roy Bennett, and his wife, Karen, of Macomb, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
