Timothy Cheever

June 26, 1970 — August 24, 2024

Seymour

Timothy Michael "Tim" Cheever peacefully departed this life on August 24, 2024, at the age of 54, in the home he shared with his beloved wife, Tina, in Seymour Missouri. Tim was born June 26, 1970, in Kansas City, Missouri, graduated high school from Shawnee Mission North, and remained in the Kansas City area until 2003, when he relocated to Seymour. He married the love of his life Christina "Tina" (Edwards) Cheever on June 3, 2004. Tim was proud of his sons, Shaun Timothy Lavish and Christopher Brent Edwards. Most recently employed at French's in Springfield, Missouri, Tim had also spent a great portion of his life sharing his natural abilities as a chef and kitchen manager as well as a professional painter.

Tim had a lifelong enthusiasm for riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and rooting for his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs. His typical fashion statement of black Harley t-shirts and blue jeans was not adequate enough to camouflage his big heart. Tim was quick to offer support by way of poker runs and fundraisers for any event or cause that was shared with him. He never differentiated between family bonds formed by birth and those created out of love and was therefore known as "Uncle Tim" by many. Whether he was planning elaborate surprises for his wife, supporting fundraisers, or playing everyone's favorite biker Santa, Tim's ability to form a unique bond with each person he allowed into his inner circle was impactful.

Left behind to carry the largest burden of absence is his wife, Tina. Also surviving him are his sons, Shaun Lavish of Kansas City, Brent Edwards of Mansfield, a granddaughter, Layla Edwards, his in-laws Tony and Sue Edwards of Seymour and a group of friends whom he called his family.

A celebration of life will be held September 21, 2024, in the form of a group motorcycle ride followed by a gathering with time for storytelling and reminiscing. Details to be announced.
