Theodore Joseph Greenwood

Theodore Joseph Greenwood, son of the late Floyd and Ruby (Freeman) Greenwood, was born on April 3, 1951, and departed this life on February 13, 2015 at his home in Macomb, Missouri. He was 63 years, 10 months, and 10 days of age.
Theodore served his country in the Navy from 1970-1971. He was united in marriage to Linda Nicholson on September 29, 1989. They had 25 wonderful years together. Theodore helped raise his three step-children: Brandy, Bobbi, and Nelson. He then adopted them in 1990. In 2008, he was reunited with his birth daughter, Teri.
Theodore was raised on a farm and farmed until 1998. He loved fishing with his father-in-law, Darrell. He enjoyed camping and spent several summers at the lake with his extended family. Theodore loved his labs. He had a white lab named, Dixie, for 14 years. Theodore loved the Kansas City Chiefs and never wanted to miss a game on TV. He loved being with his family, horses, BBQ, playing games, and loved to make up outrageous songs to help put his grandkids to sleep. He will be greatly missed by many.
Besides his parents, Theodore was preceded in death by his mother-in-law: Grace Nicholson; one sister: Shirley Curtis; one nephew: Bryan Curtis; and one brother-in-law: Danny Rachow.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda, of the home; three daughters: Teri Beth Smith of West Plains. Missouri; Brandy Thompson and her husband, Dale, of Norwood, Missouri, and Bobbi Ford and her husband, Timothy, of Norwood, Missouri; one son: Nelson Greenwood and his wife, Brittany, of Omaha, Arkansas; father-in-law: Darrell Nicholson; three brothers: Russell Greenwood and his wife, Katie, of California, Mark Musser and his wife, Nan, of Springdale, Arkansas and Robert Greenwood of Cabool, Missouri; four sisters: Brenda Rachow of Tioga, Lousiana, Norma Scott and her husband, Tully, of Kansas City, Missouri, Vickey Saindon of Kansas City, Kansas, and Cecil Wallin of Macomb, Missouri; 16 grandchildren: Kennith Smith, Micheal Worthen, Sasha Worthen, Brandon Worthen, Austin McNeil, Mat Thompson, Cody Thompson, Jake Thompson, Sara Greenwood, Charlie Vance, Dylan Greenwood, Tucker Greenwood, Jaxson Ford, Rayne Baker, Derek Greenwood, and Nola Ford; 4 great-grandchildren: Jonathan Traughber, Noah McNeil, Cooper Branch, Aesa McNeil, and one great-granddaughter and great-grandson on the way.


Visitation: Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Corinth Baptist Church, Macomb, Missouri

Burial: Retherford Cemetery, Norwood, Missouri
