Thelma “Marie” Micham, daughter of the late John B. and Ethel (Plunk) Mayfield, was born on July 16, 1910 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life on February 9, 2011 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 100 years, 6 months and 23 days of age.
Marie grew up and attended school in Wright County and was united in marriage to Aldon O. Micham on May 26, 1926 in Hartville, Missouri. Two children were born to this union. They made their home in the Mtn. Grove area. Mr. Micham passed away on February 24, 1986.
Marie was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, quilting, and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She was well known in the community for her chocolate cream and coconut cream pies. Everyone looked forward to them when she brought them to church dinners. She was also known for volunteering in the community and at the Wright County Crisis Center, helping those around her as long as her health would allow.
Marie was saved and baptized at an early age and served God faithfully all her life. She and Aldon were longtime members of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Mtn. Grove. They enjoyed attending services as long as their health permitted.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Deloris Marie Phelps on June 6, 1997; one brother: Arthur Mayfield; a granddaughter: Karla Phelps; and by a great-grandson: Travis.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Harold & Judy Micham of Mtn. Grove; four grandchildren: Keith & Teresa Phelps, Rance Micham, Kirby & Loretta Phelps, and Gregory Micham; nine great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, friends, neighbors and church family who will sadly miss her.

Saturday, February 12th, 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
No Formal – Friends may call at their convenience on Friday in the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
