Teresa Fay (McIntosh) Kennedy, daughter of Jesse and Audrey (Roadlander) McIntosh, was born April 11, 1966, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life on March 28, 2023, in her home in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 17 days.
Teresa was the baby of seven siblings and grew up in the St. Louis area for a short time until her second family (Ben and Cammellia Rector) moved back to the Whetstone area. While living with the Rector’s she developed a love for farming. She was saved and baptized at a young age and while growing up attended Corinth Baptist Church in Macomb with her Nene, Oma Holland. Teresa graduated from Norwood High School in the Class of 1984 and received an associate degree from Metro Business College later in life.
After graduating high school Teresa was a hard-working mother who raised three children. She worked various jobs throughout her life that included farm work, milking cows, working in factories, and caring for a few elderly ladies in their homes whom she loved dearly. She had an unmistakable voice and laugh, if you heard it, you knew it was Teresa. She loved Alabama football, music, and enjoyed going to concerts with her daughters. One of her greatest joys was her three grandchildren. Teresa loved spending time with them and providing anything they needed or wanted. In recent years she was blessed with a partner in life (Loney) who shared her passion for travel. They were able to travel to various destinations on their bucket lists and enjoyed collecting gnomes together.
She was preceded in death by her parents (Jesse, Audrey, and Ben); paternal grandparents, Hase and Della McIntosh; son, Bryan Kennedy; brother, Donnie “Duck” McIntosh; sister, Vickey Collins; niece, Tina McIntosh; and nephew, Jarod Coday.
Teresa is survived by her mom, Cammellia Rector of Nixa, Missouri; two daughters, Krissie Kennedy of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Jessie Heying and her husband, Jacob, of Hermann, Missouri; three grandchildren, Wyatt, Raelynn, and Cooper; two brothers, Eddie McIntosh and Brenda McIntosh of Norwood, Missouri, Paul McIntosh and his wife, Sherry, of Norwood, Missouri; two sisters, Wilma Lancaster and her husband, Ron, of Mansfield, Missouri, Norma Coday and David Tripp of Mansfield, Missouri; partner, Loney Spivey of West Plains, Missouri; two bonus siblings, Benny Joe Rector and his wife, Janice, and Deborah Kirkey and her husband, Matt, all of Nixa, Missouri; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Teresa was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend. She was a caring soul who loved her family and friends deeply. We celebrate her life and will always remember the good times we had together.
