Theodore “Ted” Carl Gibson, son of Edward Gibson, was born February 10, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, and passed away June 10, 2024. He was 75 years and 4 months of age.
Ted grew up in St. Louis and received degrees from both Mineral Area College and Drury College. He proudly served in the United States Navy beginning in 1968. After being honorably discharged, Ted spent his life working hard and supporting his family. His family and their needs took first place in his life. He was a hero to his children and grandchildren. He used the fruits of his labor to benefit his family until his health began failing him in 2004.
Ted married the love of his life, Rosemary Cox, in St. Louis on February 9, 1973. She passed away September 27, 2022. They were married 49 years, 7 months, and 18 days, which was 4 months and 3 days until they would’ve celebrated their 50th anniversary.
Ted loved fixing things and in his younger years, he enjoyed fixing cars. He loved fishing with family and friends and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ted was a man with a huge heart and gladly helped anyone in need without ever expecting anything in return. His retirement years were spent participating in social gatherings, fishing with family and friends, and winning at the slot machines.
Ted is survived by his daughter, Tammy Humble and her husband, Gus, of Luana, Iowa, their daughter, Kaleena Hagebush and her children, Daisha, Daryl, and River Rose; their son, Andrew Hagebush and his daughter, Freyja, and their son, Codi Humble; Ted’s son, Scott Gibson of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and his children, Dalton, Abby, and Dawson Gibson; Ted’s daughter, Kim Bruton and her husband, Joey, of Marshfield, Missouri, and their son, Joe Bruton and his children, Nathan and Harlan, and her daughter, Skye Bruton and her children, Arya and Luke, along with many friends he had made throughout his life.
