Sylvia Marie Nofflet, daughter of the late William and Sylvia (Cook) Page, was born on November 14, 1919 in Pueblo, Colorado, and departed this life on Sunday, June 24, 2012 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 92 years, 7 months and 10 days of age.
Marie moved with her family at a young age to the Vanzant Community in Douglas County, Missouri. She grew up and attended school in Douglas and Wright Counties and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
Marie was united in marriage to Charles Ernest Rebmann in 1936. Five children were born to this union.
Starting in the early 1950’s, she was the Postmaster at Vanzant and retired from there after thirty-three years of service to the community.
She later married Joseph Nofflet in 1965 in Mtn. View, Missouri. They made their home in Vanzant, Missouri until her retirement, they then moved to Mtn. Grove.
Marie loved to quilt and read in her spare time. She made all her grandchildren a quilt for their high school graduation gift. She also enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens each year. She was known to her family and friends as an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s fan and enjoyed watching them play whenever she got a chance.
Marie had made her home in Springfield, Missouri for seventeen years. While living there, she was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph Nofflet; a son-in-law: Jerry McNabb; a sister: Norma Jean Miley; a brother-in-law: Conard Miley; and by two sisters-in-law: Wilma Page and Madolene Page.
She is survived by two sons: H. Mac Rebmann and his wife, Kathy, of Escondido, California, and Robert “Bob” Rebmann and his wife, Sharon, of Springfield, Missouri; three daughters: Barbara Ore and her husband, Larry, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Linda McNabb of Trenton, Missouri, and Gayle Donley and her husband, Paul, of Aurora, Missouri; two brothers: Richard Page of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and William “Bill” Page of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; twelve grandchildren: Lawrence, Leann, Stephanie, Mac Jr., Chad, Aaron, Becky, Rob, Shane, Shawn, Alex, and Timothy; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

No Formal – Friends may call after 10:30 AM on Monday in the funeral home before the service.
