Steven Paul Causey

Steven (Steve) Paul Causey, son of Jesse and Maxine (Luellen) Causey, was born on January 12, 1955 in Corvallis, Oregon, and departed this life suddenly on Monday, June 18, 2012 at his residence east of Mtn. Grove, Missouri. He was 57 years of age.
Steve grew up and attended school in southeast Kansas and later moved to Drury, Missouri in Douglas County.
Steve was an over-the-road truck driver all of his life. He enjoyed his job and he had traveled to forty-eight states over the years.
He was united in marriage to Debbie Wyatt on July 27, 1990 in Miami, Oklahoma. They had made their home near Mtn. Grove for several years.
Steve was known as a “people person.” He enjoyed pleasing those around him and he was always willing to help others. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, building things, and doing repairs where needed, or working on cars.
When he was home, he liked to be outdoors enjoying the nature around him.
Steve was a loving and caring husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father: Jesse Causey; and by a sister: Janet Hatch.
Steve is survived by his wife: Debbie Causey of their home; his mother: Maxine Causey of Mtn. Grove; one son: Steven L. Causey and his wife, Denise, of Mtn. Grove; his daughters and their spouses: Paula and Daniel Bradford of Mtn. Grove, Lisa and Bubba Muncie of West Plains, Missouri, and Lisa Viles of Springfield, Missouri; three brothers: Dale Causey of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jay Causey and his wife, Charlene , of Dora, Missouri, and Mike Causey and his wife, Lois, of Mtn. Grove; one sister: Mary Collins of Branson, Missouri; five grandchildren: Elizabeth, Heather, Harlie, Rylie, Wyatt; an uncle: Jim Luellen; an aunt: Edna Ruth Powers; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Visitation: Wednesday,
June 20, 2012 from 6:00 PM
to 8:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.
