Steven Patrick Hazelrigg

Steven Patrick Hazelrigg, son of Milton Maynard and Evelyn Irene (Steele) Hazelrigg, was born on July 28, 1958 in Independence, Missouri, and passed away on December 2, 2011 at his residence in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a short illness. He was 53 years of age.
Steven grew up in Independence and at the age of six the family moved Buckner, Missouri. He attended Buckner Elementary School and later the Fort Osage and Independence Schools.
Steven’s family moved to Walker, Missouri. They lived there until his father’s job was transferred to Mississippi and later moved back to Missouri to live at Myrtle. Steven made his home in West Plains, Missouri and moved from there to Mtn. Grove about six years ago to live with his parents.
Steven enjoyed doing art work, especially painting in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Herbert and Josephine Hazelrigg; his maternal grandparents: John and Evelyn Steele; an uncle: Johnny Steele; and by two aunts: Joann Hazelrigg and Rosemary Brookens.
Steven is survived by his parents: Milton and Evelyn Hazelrigg of Mtn. Grove; one brother: Daniel Hazelrigg of Holt, Florida; one sister: Sandra Carter of Auburn, Maine; aunts; uncles; cousins; and other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
No Funeral services were planned. Steven had a private burial on Saturday, December 3rd in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
