Stella Marliere

Stella May Marliere, daughter of the late William and Helen (Clare) Baggs, was born January 22, 1950, in Peoria, Illinois, and departed this life April 21, 2021, at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 71 years, 2 months, and 30 days of age.

Stella was united in marriage to Ralph Marliere Sr. on February 14, 1971, in Viola, Illinois. Together, they raised seven children. Stella was a loving woman who loved spending time with her family and friends.

Stella enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, dancing, and fishing. She was active in her church and loved and served God faithfully. She also had a love for flowers, especially lilacs and roses.

Besides her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ralph Marliere Sr., daughter, Elizabeth (Marliere) Leighty, son, Ralph Marliere Jr., three brothers, William Baggs Jr., George Baggs, and Howard Baggs, and one grandchild, Jami Marliere.

Stella is survived by three daughters, Dawn Marliere-Jones and husband, J.B., of Keokuk, Iowa, Melanie Hibbard and husband, Garry, of Oak Harbor, Washington, and Danielle Elsner and husband, Jim, of Tupelo, Mississippi, two sons, Michael Marliere and wife, Margo, of Ankeny, Iowa, and Michael Lancaster II and wife, Ann, of Chillicothe, Illinois, two sisters, Sandy Mannon of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Susie Persinger of Sparland, Illinois, twenty grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
