Shirley Willadean Carroll, daughter of the late Thomas Lyle and Leora May (Richardson) Upshaw, was born on November 30, 1955, in Cortez, Colorado, and departed this life on November 29, 2015, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 59 years, 11 months, and 30 days of age.
Shirley loved camping, fishing, and living the simple life to the fullest. She enjoyed nothing better than sitting down with a good movie and some barbeque. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and being surrounded by her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and feeding people. Shirley enjoyed collecting roosters.
Shirley was a member of Almost Home Ministries in Mountain Grove, where she taught Sunday school. She was a devout Christian, praying daily for the salvation of her family. Her patience was beyond reprisal. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Carroll, and her sister: Lorene Upshaw.
She is survived by her oldest daughter: Tracy Holt and her children, Phoenix and Krysta of Toledo, Ohio, her oldest son: Thomas Brown and his children, Logan and Alayna of Mountain Grove, Missouri, her middle son: John Carroll and his children, Tristan, Trinnetee, and Kendal of Mountain Grove, Missouri, her youngest son: Dwight Carroll and his children: Jasmine, Brooklyne, Addison, and Wyatt, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and her youngest daughter: Amanda Carroll and her children, Willard, Sherman, Cheyenne, and Cimmaron, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, three sisters: Betty Elliott and her husband, Dwight, or Norwood, Missouri, Sherry Harper and her husband, Jerry, of Madisonville, Texas, and Pam Green of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews.
