Shirley Ratterree

Shirley Kaye (Borden) Ratterree, daughter of the late Melvin Howard Borden and Mildred Alice (Crane) Borden-Coble, was born September 8, 1952, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life February 23, 2022, in Cabool, Missouri. She was 69 years, 5 months, and 15 days of age.

Shirley grew up in Mountain Grove and graduated with the Mountain Grove High School class of 1971. She was united in marriage to Thomas Ratterree on August 1, 1986, in Springfield, Missouri. Shirley worked for the Brown Shoe Company for many years until they closed. She and Thomas made their home in Marshfield, Missouri, for most of their married life.

Shirley had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, cooking, and decorating. She also loved singing and spending time with family. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Marshfield, Missouri, as long as health permitted.

Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, and one sister, Anna Jo Arnold.

Shirley is survived by her sister, Glenda Bell and husband, Raymond, of Norwood, Missouri, three brothers-in-law, Terry Ratterree of Mountain Grove, Junior Ratterree and wife, Jean, of Cabool, and Don Ratterree and wife, Midge, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, one aunt, Judy Clark, one niece, five nephews, and many friends who will miss her dearly.
