Shirley Branson

Shirley Ann (Stigall) Branson, daughter of Elvin Stigall and Velma Moorefield, was born July 12, 1951, in Wright County, Missouri, and passed away February 8, 2025, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was 73 years of age. 

Shirley and her family lived in various places when she was growing up. She graduated from Doniphan High School. Shirley met the love of her life, Albert Branson, and they were married in April of 1969. Four children were born to this union.

Shirley was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to crochet and had crocheted blankets for her grandchildren. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Elvin Stigall; her mother, Velma Moorefield; and her husband, Albert Branson.

She is survived by her children, James Branson and his wife, Ruby, Kristina Branson, Thomas Branson, and Justin Branson; one brother, Ronnie Stigall; one sister, Kay Riggs; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
