Sharon McCoy was born in Lebanon, Missouri, on May 30, 1957, to James Austin, Sr. and Aleda “Toots” (Davis) Franklin. She left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on April 30, 2022, at the age of 64.
Sharon graduated from Lebanon High School in 1975. She married Terry McCoy on June 20, 1992, at Competition, Missouri, and to this union two sons were born, Austin and Nathan.
Sharon was an amazing cook. She spent some of her free time baking and decorating wedding cakes. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and sewing. Sharon loved flowers, and petunias were her absolute favorite. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a beloved, mom, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend. We will forever cherish the many memories she created.
Besides her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Terry McCoy, and a brother, James “Jimmy” Franklin, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Austin McCoy and Nathan McCoy, of Lynchburg, Missouri, two sisters, Linda Bailey and husband, Steve, of Gainesville, Texas, and Sandra Wade of Lebanon, Missouri, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
