Shannon Marie Kelley was born December 12, 1970, to Donald and Patsy (Russell) Kelley in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life February 8, 2025, at Hartville Care Center in Hartville, Missouri, at 54 years of age.
Shannon grew up in Hartville, Missouri, and she graduated from Sunrise State School in Marshfield, Missouri. She always strived to get an A+, and she was proud to tell everyone when she got one.
Shannon enjoyed competing in the Special Olympics and has won many medals throughout the years, especially running track. She also enjoyed watching television shows like Little House On The Prairie, The Waltons, and Friends. She also loved watching the handsome Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing.
Shannon also had a love for music, especially The Oak Ridge Boys, and she enjoyed going to their concerts in Branson, Missouri, with her parents. Shannon and her mother, Patsy, were also able to take a trip to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. She and Patsy also enjoyed taking bus trips to Downstream Casino to gamble. Another one of Shannon’s favorite hobbies was shopping at thrift stores and yard sales. She could spot a yard sale a mile away. Her favorite item to shop for was a new purse. She had many purses, but like any woman, she was always looking for one more!
Shannon enjoyed putting together puzzles and playing with baby dolls. She had a nurturing heart and took care of her dolls, naming each one of them. She also thoroughly enjoyed anytime someone would stop by the house for a visit. Shannon’s birthday was absolutely the most important day of the year, and she loved receiving gifts. She would usually start reminding everyone that her birthday was coming up when it was still several months away. Shannon’s presence will be missed, but her family will forever treasure the precious memories that her life provided.
Shannon was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Kelley.
She is survived by her father, Donald Kelley of Hartville, Missouri, five brothers and sisters, Carla Pearson and her husband, Mark, of Seymour, Missouri, Mike Long and his wife, Debbie, of Hartville, Missouri, Mark Cooley of Mansfield, Missouri, Terri Calton and her husband, Jeff, of Hartville, Missouri, and Donnie Kelley of Mansfield, Missouri, many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and friends who will miss her.
