Ruth Lorene (Dowden) Moseley, age 83, of Hartville, Missouri, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on December 1, 2020. She was born February 10, 1937, in Manes, Missouri, to Roy and Alta (Cockrum) Dowden.
Ruth was a 1955 graduate of Mountain Grove High School and a member of Green Valley Baptist Church. Ruth was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She found great joy in her faith, her family, and her many friends.
She was united in marriage on March 23, 1957, to Jimmie Dean Moseley. To this union eight children were born: Timmy, Cheryl, Janet, Gregg, Linda, Doug, Lori, and Jeffrey.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roy and Alta Dowden, her stepmother, Irene Dowden, her sister, Carlene Key, her brother, Noel Dowden, her loving husband of 60 years, Jimmie Moseley, and two infant granddaughters, Alexis and Ashley Moseley.
Ruth is survived by her four sons: Timmy Moseley, Gregg Moseley and wife, Carla, Doug Moseley and wife, Michele, and Jeffrey Moseley and wife, Ruthie; four daughters: Cheryl Fry, Janet Bergmann and husband, Stacy, Linda Atchison and husband, Dean, and Dr. Lori MacPherson; one brother, Allen Dowden and wife, Kay, and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Dowden; thirteen grandchildren: Nathan Fry, Shane Fry, Stephani Burton, Noah Moseley, Jacob Moseley, Bridgette Moseley, Lauren Bergmann, Evan Bergmann, Chris Atchison, Kyla Shannon, Sam MacPherson, Gus MacPherson, and Abby Moseley; two step grandchildren, Whittney Baldwin and Jared Mitchell; fourteen great-grandchildren: Caroline, Abby, Tucker, Wyatt, Hudson, Baylor, Allie, Maylie, Mylie, Slade, Cade, Ollie, Ella, and Brody; four step great-grandchildren: Autumn, Sophia, Hunter, and Josephine; as well as an uncle, numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Ruth will be deeply missed, and we look forward to that day when we will see her and embrace her again. We love you “Grandma Ruth”- sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Thank you for all you have done for us. We will see you soon.
