Ruby Elizabeth Greenwood

Ruby Elizabeth Greenwood, daughter of the late Osca and Mae (Nelson) Freeman, was born on December 31, 1921 in Macomb, Missouri, and departed this life on August 15, 2007 at her residence in Macomb, following a short illness. She was 85 years 7 months and 15 days of age.
Ruby grew up and attended school in the Macomb area and graduated from Norwood High School in 1939. She was united in marriage to Floyd Greenwood on April 11, 1948 in Macomb. They reared their family on the farm where Floyd was born. Ruby taught school in Macomb before she was married.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, church gatherings and family get-togethers.
Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, foster mother, and friend. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.
She was a member of the Norwood First Baptist Church in Norwood, Missouri and enjoyed attending as long as her health permitted.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother: Spud Freeman.
She is survived by her three sons: Russell Greenwood and his wife, Katy, of the State of California, Robert Greenwood of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and Teddy Greenwood of Macomb, Missouri; two daughters: Rosemary Wallin and Cecile Wallin and her husband, Jack, all of Macomb, Missouri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
