Ruby Anna Wilson

November 25, 1932 — October 29, 2014

Ruby Anna Wilson, daughter of the late Herman Joseph and Louisa Jane (Dennis) Moritz, was born on November 25, 1932 in St. Joseph, Missouri and departed this life on October 29, 2014 at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 81 years, 11 months, and 4 days of age.

Ruby grew up in St. Joseph and Buckhart, Missouri and graduated from Dora High School. She thought the world of her baby brother, Rodney, and enjoyed sharing happy memories of their childhood and growing up together.

Ruby was united in marriage to Robert Wesley Wilson, Sr. on July 1, 1956. Four children were born to this union: Robert Wesley, Jr., Carol, Debbie, and Peggy. Ruby was also very involved in raising three of her grandchildren: Selina Angel, Max Hensley, and Kristie Barksdale.

After many years of service at Brown Shoe Company in Mountain Grove, Missouri, Ruby retired to spend time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed them more than anything.

While Ruby was still able, she attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church faithfully. She loved her church family very much. In the last year of her life many people stepped up to help care for her. Ruby thought the world of her home care giver, Jenny Means, who came daily going above and beyond her duties, Hospice Compassus who showed her tender loving care, her church family, her friends at Ridgecrest, and all her loved ones.

Ruby had many favorite sayings, among those were I cant see, cant hear, if I couldnt talk Id be up a creek without a paddle and Cant complain, dont do no good, nobody listens.

Ruby enjoyed visiting and having company. She had a heart of gold and always was willing to help anyone anytime. She always ended her conversations by saying, Love you bunches, bunches, bunchessome more. Ruby will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wesley Wilson, Sr.

She is survived by one son: Robert Wesley Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Cabool, Missouri; three daughters: Carol Deaton of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Debbie Collins and her husband, Wes, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Peggy McKinney and her husband, Thomas, of Boise, Idaho; one brother: Rodney Moritz and his wife, Janet, of Cabool, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
