Roy "Dale" Bell

Roy “Dale” Bell (known as grandpa), 86 of Hartville, passed away on September 16, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bertha, Missouri, on November 13, 1936, the son of Elza and Julie (Bradshaw) Bell.

He grew up in Bertha while being raised on the Bryant creek. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Corrine Coonts. In his early years, he and his brother, LZ, traveled to Washington to thin peaches and harvest peas. He worked at Brown Shoe Company and B & W Gas before retiring from Hutchens Industries. After retirement, he enjoyed raising beef cattle and hunting and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jonnie and LZ, sisters, Reba Driskell and Vina Buckbee.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Corrine of Hartville, Missouri, siblings, Paul and Marvin Bell of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and sister, Judy Douthit of Springfield, Missouri, daughters, Pam (Billy) Jones and Tammy (Dan) Pridemore both of Mountain Grove, seven grandchildren, Matthew (Amber) Jones, Zach (Amanda) Pridemore, Nathan (Jessica) Pridemore, Mitchell (Jessica) Jones, Anthony (Danyiel) Pridemore, Ethan (Katelynn) Pridemore, and Bethany (Eddie) Massey and seventeen GREAT grandchildren, Emilee, MacieMae, Westin, Hannah, Kaylee, MacCoy, Tinley, Mavric, Addison, Addlee, Camden Pridemore, Garrett Massey, William, Forrest, Henry, Nolan and Ezra Jones, and numerous other family and friends. He will be missed by all the knew and loved him.
