Ross Fish, son of the late Olen and Edna (Collins) Fish, was born July 2, 1941, in Dora, Missouri, and went to his heavenly home May 24, 2021, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 79 years, 10 months, and 22 days of age.
Ross was united in marriage to Jeneita Smith on November 14, 1959, in Vanzant, Missouri. Two sons and two daughters were born to this union. They raised their family in the Mountain Grove area.
Ross was a hard worker who retired from trucking with Roadway at the age of 62. He was an avid fisherman whether on the river in his canoe or on the lake in his bass boat. His retirement left him with plenty of time for fishing, gigging, grabbing, and many other things he enjoyed doing in life. Ross was always known, and will be remembered, for his smile and good nature. He always put his family first and sincerely enjoyed every adventure with them.
Ross was dedicated to serving Jesus Christ. He was an active member of Southside Baptist Church for 51 years. He drove the church bus, taught Sunday school, and jumped in to help with any task that needed to be done. He was a great example of what a Christian should be.
Ross never met a stranger. He was kind to everyone and would always offer a helping hand to anyone in need! He would give people the benefit of the doubt whether he knew them or not and no matter their reputation.
Ross is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jeneita Fish of the home, four children, Danny Fish of Theodosia, Missouri, Denise Reinoehl of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Sandie Rodery and husband, Pat, of Cape Fair, Missouri, and Stacy Fish and wife, Angie, of West Plains, Missouri, thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.
