Ronald Wilson Harris

Ronald Wilson Harris, was born to the late William and Lena (Wilson) Harris, on September 22, 1931, in Douglas County, Missouri, and departed this life Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri surrounded by his loving family at the age of 84 years 6 months 8 days.

After the passing of Ronalds mother, Lena, William later remarried Armendia Mindy Lee, who loved him like her own. Ronald served his country in the U.S. Army from 1949-1953, in which the last 3 years of his service was a Korean War POW.
On May 17, 1959, Ronald was united in marriage to the love of his life, Bonnie Lou Lemons. Together they shared 57 wonderful years.
Ronald was an expert sawyer for 45 years at Harris Lumber Company. His passion was working on his farm with Bonnie raising different kinds of beef cattle, training border collies, grafting trees and gardening.
His main enjoyment of life was his family. He loved spending time with all, especially with his grandkids and great grandkids. Ronald accepted our Lord and Savior a year ago. The last year of his life he enjoyed his kids praying with him and singing hymns to him. He was a very special man and all who knew him will greatly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Philip Walter Harris and one grandson, Novie (Buck) Baney.

Ronald is survived his wife, Bonnie Harris of Norwood, Missouri; one son, Byron and Carol Frisbee of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two daughters, Karla and Bill Morris of Mountain Grove, Missouri and Janet and Ronnie Owen of Sulphur, Oklahoma. Two brothers, Don Harris of Mountain Grove, Missouri and James Harris of Norwood, Missouri. Five grandchildren, Shannon and Jeremiah Peterson, Kristen and Toby Sheppard, and Dena Baney all of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Matthew Morris of Denver, Colorado and Lacy and Michael Cameron of South River, Ontario, Canada. Twelve great grandchildren, Kelsy and Kelby Goetz, Samantha and Sophee Peterson, Zachary, Logan, Kadee and Kylee Sheppard, Adyline Fleetwood, Makenzee Frisbee, J.T. Thornton and Zoey Cameron. Many other relatives and friends.
