Ronald 'Ronnie' Dean Richardson

July 16, 1947 — June 29, 2010

Ronald Dean “Ronnie” Richardson, son of the late Edward “Ed” and Syrena (Higgins) Richardson, was born on July 16, 1947 in Tulare, California, and departed this life following a short illness on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in the St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri. He was 62 years, 11 months and 13 days of age.
Ronnie lived in California until the age of six when his family moved to Heidrick, Kentucky. He graduated from Knox Central High School in Barbourville, Kentucky in 1966. He was united in marriage to Angeless “Angie” Feltner on November 2, 1968 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Three children were born to this union. They made their home in Kentucky for several years and moved to Norwood, Missouri in 1983.
Ronnie was a school bus driver for Norwood School for many years. He did concrete work over the years.
He made Indian artifacts such as; arrowheads and tomahawks and owned the Red Wolf Crossing in Norwood. He was well known for building the “finest” muzzle loader rifles around this part of the country. He enjoyed going to Mountain Man Rendezvous over the years with his neighbors and friends.
Ronnie greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially when fishing and hunting rabbits and squirrels.
He was a loving and kind husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, friend and neighbor. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He never met a stranger and always had a kind word for those around him. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was baptized while attending the Heidrick Baptist Church in Heidrick, Kentucky.
He is survived by his loving wife: Angie Richardson of their home in Norwood; one son: Edward Richardson and Michelle Arcidino of Butler, Missouri; two daughters: Angela Turner and her husband, Robert, of Houston, Missouri, and Rhonda Berry and her husband, J.R., of Mtn. Grove; two brothers: Jim Richardson of Mtn. Grove, and David Richardson and his wife, DeDe, of Norwood, Missouri; one sister: Jessie Hammond and her husband, Jerry, of Hamilton, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Keely, Kayla, and Brandon Turner, Makenzie, Makenna, and Austin Berry, and Hunter and Madison Richardson; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends.


Funeral Service:
Friday, July 2, 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Thursday, July 1, 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
Burial:
Thomas Cemetery
Memorial Contributions:
Kidney Foundation or Wright County Children's Home c/o of the funeral home.
