Roger L Boykin

Roger Lee Boykin, son of Don and Zelpha (Wilson) Boykin, was born November 27, 1960 in Cabool, Missouri and departed this life August 29, 2014 at his home near Mountain Grove, Missouri following a long illness. He was 53 years of age.

As a young man, Roger loved the outdoors, especially when hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing in many sports. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roger was preceded in death by his father: Don Boykin; and a brother: Mike Boykin.

Survivors include his mother: Zelpha Boykin of the home; one daughter: Stephanie Bain and husband, Justin, of Mountain Grove; two sisters: Lavonda Eaton and husband, Glen, of Mountain Grove and Brenda Stoops and husband, Chris, of Houston, Missouri; one brother: Buck Boykin of the home; four grandchildren: Taylor Reed, Dylan Reed, Reileigh Bain, and Jayden Bain; nieces and nephews: Alisa Freeman, Aaron Smith, Courtney Boykin, Jamie Green, Nick Eaton, and Garrett Eaton; and one great-nephew: Brandon Freeman.


Visitation: Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Crossroads of Faith Church, north of Mtn. Grove, MO.

Burial: Friendship Cemetery
