Robert Wayne Langley, son of Robert Langley and Rosie Owens Langley, was born February 19, 1943, in Diggins, Missouri and departed this life Monday, November 22, 2021, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years, nine months, and thirteen days.
On January 21, 1966, he was united in marriage to Joyce Helms and to this union one son was born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mabel Cook, and a brother, Dee Owens.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce; son, Kevin Langley and wife, Wendy; two granddaughters, Megan Langley, and Mikayla Langley all of Mansfield; two brothers-in-law, Phillip Cook of Marshfield, and Herschel Hubbard of Springfield; lots of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was born in Diggins and attended Seymour High School where he graduated in the Class of 1961. Wayne served his country faithfully in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965. He then attended Barber school and worked at Brentwood Barber Shop in Springfield for almost 30 years and later managed Diggins Quick Stop.
Wayne made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Selmore Christian Church.
He loved fishing and traveling. His primary enjoyment was attending all his granddaughters activities. He loved spending time with his family.
Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will always cherish the great times we had together. Wayne will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
