Robert “Bobby” Nathan Smith, son of Robert Nathan Smith Sr. and Anne Osman was born on January 20, 1971 in St. Joseph, Missouri, and departed this life on November 7, 2013 at his home in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, at 42 years of age.
Bobby grew up and attended school in Jefferson City, Missouri. Following high school, he attended the Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. He made the Mtn. Grove area his home since 1991.
Bobby was a substitute teacher in the Mtn. Grove School system for a while. He also worked on a friend’s farm as a farmhand and handyman. His greatest passion in life was to become a juvenile counselor when he finished college.
He enjoyed taking walks around Mtn. Grove and visiting with those around him. He loved doing Karaoke and was known as an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.
Bobby enjoyed spending time with his family and was always putting their needs before his own.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother: Anne Osman of Mtn. Grove; two sons: Levi Ray and his wife, Destiny, of Cabool, Missouri and Chance Woods of Mtn. Grove; one brother: Tracy Smith of Mtn. Grove; one sister: Christina Smith of Mtn. Grove; nine nieces and nephews; fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends who will miss him very much.
