Robert Dale Henry

Robert Dale Henry, son of Virgil Louie Henry and Zelda Alath (Coday) Henry, was born November 3, 1944, in Mansfield, Missouri, and departed this life, December 2, 2023, in his home near Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of 79 years and 29 days, with his family by his side.

He was united in marriage to Jessie “Maye” Holloway on December 30, 1965, and to this union three children were born. After Maye passed away in 2004, he was united in marriage to Sue Basinger on March 5, 2010. Sue passed away January 8, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Henry and daughter-in-law, Shirley; granddaughter, Carissa Jo Cantrell; brother, Darrell Henry; sisters, JoAnn Garzee and Linda Lansdown; nephew, Mike Henry; 2 half-brothers, Charles Goss and Donald Goss.

Robert is survived by his son, Tony Henry and wife, Jeana, of Mansfield; daughter, Linda Hawkins and husband, Willis, of Ozark, Missouri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Henry and wife, Janice, Jack Henry, and Ronnie Henry and Carol Cantrell, all of Mansfield; numerous nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was born, raised and lived most of his life in Mansfield. He was a graduate of Mansfield High School in the Class of 1962. He then served his country faithfully in the United States Army and worked 40 years at Hutchens’ Industries in Mansfield. After marrying Sue, he worked over 5 years at Wal-Mart in West Plains.

Robert made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Mansfield First Assembly of God Church, was a member of Mansfield Masonic Lodge #543 A.F. & A.M., Clarence King Post #128 of the American Legion, and a longtime volunteer fireman for Mansfield Volunteer Fire Department. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and a man that was liked by everyone.
