Robert “Bob” Lee Owens, son of the late Vanis and Frankie (King) Owens, was born on August 27, 1962, in Lodi, California, and went to his home in Heaven on April 19, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Bob was 62 years, 7 months, and 23 days old.
Shortly after his birth, Bob and his family moved to Tecumseh, Missouri. Bob was united in marriage to Teresa J. Holifield on September 6, 1986. Bob loved to shoot, or really anything that would go bang, including his love for fireworks and the smiles he spread every 4th of July with his firework displays around his local communities. Bob was an avid outdoorsman from a young age, frequently hunting, fishing, and enjoying everything that the outdoors had to offer. Bob also loved spending time with his family and friends and was never at a loss for something to talk about. Later in life, Bob was also very proud of his work in the HVAC field, going to school and learning the trade in his thirties.
Bob attended Mission Square Church with his wife for many years and was baptized, giving his life to the Lord, on September 10, 2023, surrounded by friends and family.
Bob is preceded in death by his grandparents, Isiah and Lillian King, and Thomas and Lyda Owens, as well as his parents, Vanis and Frankie Owens.
Bob is survived by his wife, Teresa, of their family home in Tecumseh, Missouri, three children, Josh White of Sebring, Florida, Kyle Owens of Springfield, Missouri, and Katelyn Owens of Tecumseh, Missouri, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, Bruce Owens (Teresa) of Tecumseh, Missouri, one brother-in-law, Steve Holifield (Michael) of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, family friends, Ronnie and Susan Howard and their family, as well as Craig and Sheri Pettit and their family. Bob will be dearly missed by countless others.
