Robert 'Bob' Clark Snyder

Robert Bob Snyder, son of the late Harlan and Doris (Elarton) Snyder, was born November 26, 1943 in Williams County, Ohio, and departed this life on January 23, 2017 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri. He was 73 years, 1 month, and 28 days of age.

Bob graduated from high school in Edon, Ohio. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961-1966. Bob married Norma Lathrom on July 23, 1966 in Lawrence, Kansas. Two children were born to this union: Jason and Taunya.

Bob and Norma lived in Ohio and then moved to Michigan where Bob had an excavating business. They moved to Missouri in 1983. Bob always stayed in close contact with his Michigan and Ohio family and friends.

Bobs children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and he greatly loved spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to truck pulls. He loved being outdoors, taking care of his chickens and cows, tending to his garden, hunting arrowheads, and watching nature and wild life. He even had a game camera set up to spy on animals activities when he couldnt watch them in person. He also had a telescope and spent lots of time star and satellite gazing. He loved sitting around with his friends and family and telling tall tales. His shop building was his man cave where much of the story telling took place. He also enjoyed watching Judge Judy and wrestling on television.

When he was diagnosed with Melanoma in 2015, Bob knew he was going to have a long and difficult journey but he had the determination and will to fight a hard battle, and fight by cripe he did. At the end of his battle, he said he was tired and ready to go. A few short hours later, he went on.

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one grandchild, Bradley Strube.

He is survived by his loving wife of their home, Norma Snyder, one son, Jason Snyder and his wife, Lindsi, of Green Mountain, Missouri, one daughter Taunya Fuller and her husband, Mike, of Mountain Grove, two brothers, Doug Snyder and his wife, Jane, of Cooney, Ohio, and Gary Snyder and his wife, Penny, of Camden, Michigan, three sisters, Ruth Bonneau and her husband, Steve, of Montgomery, Michigan, Mary Lou Newman of Hamilton, Indiana, and Angela Snyder and Kirk Wick of North Adams, Michigan, five grandchildren, Robby Strube, Jordan Liska, Ryan Liska, Emma-Lee Snyder, and Jason Snyder Jr., and many other friends and family who will greatly miss him.


Visitation: Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the Green Mountain Church Fellowship Hall

Graveside Service: Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Green Mountain Cemetery
