Ricky Leroy Wiyrick, son of Paul Nathaniel and Deloris Jean (Mercer) Wiyrick, was born on July 18, 1956 in Montpelier, Ohio and departed this life suddenly on August 7, 2007 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri. He was 51 years and 20 days of age.
Rick grew up and attended school in Ohio and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1974. He was united in marriage to Karen Gruber and two sons were born to this union. They moved to the Mtn. Grove, Missouri area in 1983 where Rick made his home until his passing.
Rick was an assistant manager of the north Casey’s General Store. He enjoyed working and will be missed by those who knew him.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially when camping and canoeing. He also liked bowling, dart throwing, reading, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. He was a member of the area bowling and dart throwing leagues.
Rick was a good son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his father: Paul N. Wiyrick on January 21, 2000; and by one brother: Kevin D. Wiyrick on November 29, 1998.
Rick is survived by his two sons: Jonathan D. Wiyrick and Jamie Lee Wiyrick, both of Mtn. Grove; his mother: Deloris Wiyrick of Mtn. Grove; four brothers: Gerry Wiyrick and his wife, Gail, of Bryan, Ohio, Jeffry Wiyrick of Montpelier, Ohio, Leslie Wiyrick and his wife, Dalena, of Mtn. Grove, and Charles Wiyrick and his wife, April, also of Mtn. Grove; one granddaughter: Jordyn Bryanne Wiyrick; and a host of other relatives and friends.
