Richard Allen Eggert was born January 28, 1959, in Casper, Wyoming, to Theodore “Ted” John and Ella Lavonne (Mooney) Eggert, and departed this life February 16, 2025, at his home in Willow Springs, Missouri, at the age of 66 years and 19 days.
Rick lived in Colorado most of his childhood and he graduated from Buena Vista High School. He also lived in Vanzant and settled in Willow Springs for the past 30 years.
Rick began working early in life. He cooked at Delany’s Restaurant and also worked on the forestry tree service. He worked at Pizza Hut as a cook and was later promoted to store manager. He received many awards throughout the years for his excellent management service. Later, he worked at Tyson, and then went to work at a nursing home as a cook. He worked at Casey’s as a manager and went on to work for Walmart for 10 years. Rick also worked as a retail manager for 15 years until he became a cook at the senior center in Willow Springs and retired after 8 years.
He enjoyed thrifting, antiquing, decorating, taking care of plants, cooking, baking for his family, playing games, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. Rick was a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Willow Springs.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers John Eggert and Bob Eggert, maternal and paternal grandparents, and one grandson, Theodore Gene “Teddy” McColgin.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Eggert of the home, four children, Christina McColgin and her husband, Dallas, Allen Eggert and his significant other, Skye, Robert Eggert and his wife, Shelbi, Makenzie Boyle and her husband, Donny, all of Willow Springs, Missouri, one brother, Ron Eggert of Valentine, Nebraska, one sister, Pam Springer and her husband, Eddie, of Caddo, Oklahoma, seventeen grandchildren, Noah, Chandler, Lane, and Tanner McColgin, Brandon, Collen, Brynna, Alexa, Joseph, Hailey, Starlynn, Ryan, Oskar, Olivia Eggert, Heidi, DJ, and Elouise Boyle, and one great-grandchild, Asher Barnes, two aunts, Paulette Waggle of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Carol Kennedy of Callaway, Nebraska, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will dearly miss him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
