Rhonda Metty

Rhonda Faye Metty, daughter of Wilma (Delcour) Mabe and the late Orville Mabe, was born October 7, 1954 in Mountain Grove and departed this life on May 23, 2008 at her home in Mountain Grove at 53 years of age.
Rhonda was raised in the Manes Community. She married Bill Metty on August 9, 1978 in Monticello, Arkansas. Together they raised three boys and three girls.
Rhonda worked for Fordick Corporation for many years and later worked as a caregiver. She was always a good homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, and fishing. The most favorite moments of her life were spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Mabe, and by one sister, Saundra Hicks.
Rhonda is survived by her husband: Bill Metty of their home; her mother: Wilma Mabe of Mountain Grove; three sons: Jason Metty, Lyndell Metty, and David Metty all of Mountain Grove; three daughters: Angela McMinn of Mountain Grove, Sondra Thornhill of Hartville, Missouri, and Brandi Spicer of Mountain Grove; two brothers: Mike Mabe of Mountain Grove and David Johnson of Tyler, Kansas; one sister: Shirley Davis of Mountain Grove; seventeen grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends that will dearly miss her.


Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 7:00 - 8:00 PM in the chapel.
Burial: New Home Cemetery
Donations/Contributions: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made toward funeral expenses.
