Reta Jean (Wheeler) Carder, daughter of the late Ray and Allie Edith (Brown) Wheeler, was born July 8, 1955, in Cabool, Missouri, and departed this life March 2, 2019, at Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, Missouri. She was 63 years, 7 months, and 25 days of age.
Reta grew up in Cabool, Missouri. She met Ronald Carder and they were married July 26, 1971. Four children were born to this union.
Reta worked doing laundry and being a CNA. She enjoyed working with her flowers, gardening, being outdoors, and riding horses. She also enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her kids and grandkids and her in-laws. She liked going to church and reading her Bible.
Reta was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Carder, her father, Ray Wheeler, her mother Allie Wheeler, and one sister, Missy Wheeler.
She is survived by three sons, Michael Carder and his wife, Iva, Jamie Carder and his wife, Donna, and Timmy Carder and his wife, Angela, all of Norwood, Missouri, one daughter, Melissa Thornhill and her husband, Brad, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, five grandchildren, Scotty, Tiffany, Alyssa, and Tristen Thornhill, and Kimberly Carder, five sisters, Barb Woodmansee, and her husband, Buster, of Bolivar, Missouri, Sherry Thomas of Willow Springs, Missouri, Connie Reed of West Plains, Missouri, Della Wheeler of Nixa, Missouri, Louise French and her husband, Jerry, of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, one brother, Ronnie Wheeler, of Hartville, Missouri, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
