Randall Keith Long, son of the late Avis and Nelma (Smittle) Long, was born November 28, 1953, in Lebanon, Missouri, and passed away July 18, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. He was 70 years, 7 months, and 20 days of age. 

Randall attended Hartville High School and graduated with the class of 1971. After high school, he worked at Marshfield Metal Company for 6 years, and then worked at Detroit Tool Metal Products for 34 years, retiring in 2011. 

Randall met Carol Harvey at Detroit Tool Metal Products and they made a home together in Lebanon, Missouri, for 25 years. Randall loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a very loving man and loved helping anyone who needed help. He loved watching sports on TV, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed watching all of the deer that came into their yard with their babies. 

Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Avis and Nelma Long, and one brother, Thomas Dwight Long. 

He is survived by one son, Chris Long and his wife, Dani, of Haughton, Louisiana, one daughter, Liz Stoll and her husband, Joe, of Cataula, Georgia, four grandchildren, Allie Long of Denton, Texas, Emory Long of Haughton, Louisiana, and Avery Stoll and Hayes Randall Stoll of Cataula, Georgia, one brother, John Long and his wife, Patty, of Ozark, Missouri, one niece, Amy York and her husband, Andrew, of Springfield, Missouri, one great-nephew, John York of Springfield, Missouri, Carol Harvey, whom he spent 25 years together with, of Lebanon, Missouri, Carol’s son, Rene Harvey, her grandson, Bradon, and her great-granddaughter, Jayla, and many other friends who will miss him.
