Ramona Holbrook

Ramona (Brumley) Holbrook, daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Byrd) Brumley, was born August 4, 1940, in Hartshorne, Oklahoma, and departed this life March 24, 2018, at Willow Health Care in Willow Springs, Missouri. She was 77 years, 7 months, and 20 days of age.

Ramona’s family moved to Pollock Pines, California, in 1943. She attended Pollock Pines Grammar School and graduated from Eldorado County High School in 1958. She married Robert Holbrook in 1959 at Pollock Pines Community Church, where they both were members. Ramona and her family enjoyed being active in their church. Her father was a Deacon, she and her brother participated in the church activities, and Ramona often played the piano. Two sons were born to this marriage: Jeffery Wayne and Bruce Alan.

Ramona was a committed wife and a dedicated mother who loved her family dearly. In her spare time Ramona loved to sew and made many wonderful cross-stitch projects. She also worked as a bank teller for thirteen years. Ramona and Robert moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri, in 2005 to be close to her parents. At the time of her passing, Ramona was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mountain Grove.

Ramona is survived by her husband, Robert Holbrook, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, two sons, Jeffery Wayne and Lupe Holbrook of Ely, Nevada, and Bruce Alan and Linda Holbrook of Roseburg, Oregon, one brother, Lindall and Carola Brumley of Mountain Grove, Missouri, grandchildren, Richard and Cornna of Tracy, California, Kevin and Heather of Roseville, California, Christopher of Springfield, Oregon, and Cameron of Roseburg, Oregon, great-grandchildren, Justin, Aiden, Ava, Jaxon, and Brenna, and other relatives and friends.
