Phyllis Ann (Walton) Freeman

October 31, 1943 — April 6, 2011

Phyllis Ann Freeman, daughter of the late Clarence and Cleta (Kelly) Walton, was born on October 31, 1943 in Los Angeles, California, and departed this life on April 6, 2011 in the St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 67 years, 5 months and 6 days of age.
Phyllis grew up and attended school in Tustin, California and graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1961. She raised four sons and one daughter.
Phyllis had resided in the Dora, Missouri and Mtn. Grove, Missouri Communities for thirty-four years. She enjoyed living in the Ozarks.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and watching T.V. She also liked all kinds of animals.
Phyllis was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor. She liked visiting with those around her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son: Stevie Berry; her daughter: Denise Lumley; and by three grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons: Dallas Fredrick and his wife, Karen, of Drury, Missouri, Darion Fredrick of Mtn. Grove, Derek Fredrick and his wife, Kimberley, of Willow Springs, Missouri, and J.R. Berry and his wife, Rhonda, of Mtn. Grove; sixteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
