Peter Lester Dannen
Peter Lester “Pete” Dannen, son of Marvin Sebo Dannen and Donna Dawn Wartnaby, was born January 24, 1961, in Mason City, Iowa, and departed this life on November 6, 2021, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri. He was 60 years, 9 months, and 12 days of age.
He moved with his family from Iowa to Willow Springs, Missouri, at the age of 15. At age 18, he joined the Navy where he served his country faithfully. Pete was an over-the-road truck driver most of his adult life.
Pete was united in marriage to Questel Glo Kilgore on October 1, 2010, in Mansfield, Missouri, and to this union five children were born.
Pete had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mansfield Christian Church.
In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Sebo Dannen, a brother, Carroll Lester Dannen, and a nephew, Evan Cornelison.
Pete is survived by his wife, Questel, of the home; children, Shawn Dannen of Ava, Nathan Dannen of Elkland, Stephanie Dannen of Nixa, Brittanie Venable of Ozark, Preston Dannen, Elam Dannen, Olivia Dannen, Selena Dannen, and Zada Dannen all of the home; grandchildren, Kylie, Ella, Lily, and Greyson; his mother, Donna Kabage and husband, Sheldon, of Seymour; sisters, Lori Farris of Seymour and Christie Pringle of Fordland; step-sisters, Cathey Kabage of Seymour and Candeda Pollock of Mansfield; step-brothers, Joseph Kabage, Jacob Kabage, and Jason Kabage all of Seymour, and Jamie Kabage of Mansfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pete was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, a caring neighbor, and friend. We celebrate his life and will cherish the special times we had together.
