Peggy Westfall

December 15, 1939 — December 8, 2024

With heavy hearts, the family of Peggy Erlene Westfall announces her peaceful passing on December 8, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on December 15, 1939, in Los Angeles, California, Peggy was a shining light to all who knew her, embodying love, grace, and compassion.

Though she spent her early years in Los Angeles, Peggy was always the gal from the Ozarks at heart. She met and fell deeply in love with the love of her life, Harvey Westfall. They were united in marriage on December 12, 1992. Together they lived a fairy tale life until his passing.

After Harvey’s death, Peggy returned to her roots, embracing the quiet beauty of life among the trees and waters of Missouri, where she found comfort and peace. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who created a home filled with love, warmth, and unforgettable memories. Thanksgiving dinners at her table were legendary, unmatched in their warmth and flavor, and a true testament to her love for family. Her unwavering kindness, wisdom, and support left an indelible mark on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry her love in their hearts forever.

Her strength, resilience, and devotion to her family and community defined her character. Peggy was a woman of deep faith who cherished her friendships and always offered a listening ear, a helping hand, and a heart full of love. She had a unique way of making everyone feel valued, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that will never be forgotten.

A hard-working woman, Peggy embraced diverse roles throughout her life, from driving semi-trucks to serving as a school bus driver for Mountain Grove Public Schools on bus number 30.

She is reunited in eternity with her husband, John Harvey Westfall; parents, Alpha and Erle Bolinger; sister, Wanda Micas; and two beloved grandchildren, Tisha and Carla.

She is survived by her son, Francisco Galvan; two daughters, Debra and husband, Doyle Boyle, and Paula Trobak; grandchildren, Frank Galvan, Eddie Galvan, Deedee B., Steven Shaw, and Chris Shaw; and great-grandchildren, Emberly Bloomer, Adyson Bloomer, Ty Bloomer, Alenna Galvan, Theodore Galvan, Chassidy Shaw, Teasha Shaw, Alexia Shaw, Daniel Shaw, Isiah Shaw, Thomas Shaw, and Daric Shaw. Though she is no longer with us in body, Peggy’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Rest in peace, Peggy. You will never be forgotten.

The family will be having a memorial service at a later time. Once the details are known this website will be updated with the information.
