Peggy Adams

Peggy Lynn (Dake) Adams, daughter of the late Darrell and Sharon (Wright) Dake, was born on January 23,1972, in Springfield, Missouri, and passed away on April 10, 2025, in her home in Hartville, Missouri. She was 52 years old.

Peggy went on to get her GED in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She married Robert Adams, from Macomb, Missouri, on June 12, 1998. Peggy had 4 children, Hazel, Bobby, Aaron, and Mark.

If you knew Peggy, you know she loved her family more than life. She was a housewife and she was the glue to her family. She loved to go camping, ride her motorcycle, reading just about anything, landscaping, and watching TikTok videos. She had a niche’ for making something out of nothing. One time she used a baby bottle nipple to make an air compressor for her air mattress. The last thing she made from scratch was an overhead pool table light for her husband. She knew how to work on cars and motorcycles. She was a true MacGyver. But most of all, she was very compassionate, caring, and would give you her last dollar or a place to stay at any time. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Sharon Dake, and her mother-in-law, Linda Harris.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Robert Adams, her children, Hazel Miskell and husband, Chuck, of Hartville, Missouri, Bobby Dake of Sikeston, Missouri, Aaron Hicks of Hartville, Missouri, Mark Adams and wife, Jaden, of Grovespring, Missouri, grandchildren, Ashley and husband, Spencer, Dakota and wife, Christina, Dominic, Josh, Holden, Athena, Odett, Dean, and Grady, several great-grandchildren, one sister, Rebecca Dake, several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at her home sometime this summer.
